My animal head is a combination of an attempt bat, which turned into a devil dog. Noses on a bat are very out there and since they have flat heads it was hard for me to try and make it happen. its currently being fired. My favorite animal is a bat!! one it was having a more structured jaw line and small pointed ears it was looking like a dog. when i tried to add the eyes and forehead it had a mean looking brow. So i decided to call it a devil dog. Anyways once I have a picture up, I will describe it more. i think i'm leaving it unpainted, or I will use white acrylic all over.
My cardboard piece was fun! i enjoyed it. This project made my fingers hurt so bad! took a lot of strength, for me, to cut through the cardboard. I wanted to show more of a fuzzy texture since it is a bee. Bee's tend to have fuzzy fur-like bodies. You can't see here, but the stripes on its back is pulled a certain way that it looks fuzzy. This reminds me when scientists are studying insects and they have a chart of them. The two corners are cut, because i thought it would make it more eye appealing instead of a single square piece.
My inspiration artist is Salvador Dali. My reasons:
- He has an awesome mustache - His artwork is amazing and it hides a true meaning behind the surface. - His work flow and the eye movement when you first look at the piece. - his elephants have extended legs- my favorite piece is The Metamorphosis of Narcissus - Everybody knows him when I say who my inspiration is -I LOVE HIM!!!! |
